Volunteering Introduction

1. Briefly define Altruism and volunteerism

Altruism: A volunteer have need a feeling good because they really want a help to people and it will feel good for help them too. 

Volunteerism: enjoy in home and become a volunteer are different because in house focus on my life and other volunteer work can focus on help a people too. 

2. Describe the personal rewards available by volunteering providing a reason why each are important and how they are important to you as a volunteer.

a. self esteem and self fulfilment:need feeling good for work not bad mood

b. learning and career awareness: can learn from work what need know to do on volunteer 

c. employability:  if i want a become a volunteer in anywhere and make a good resume then boss will accept hire me. 

d. enhance community awareness: need learn about my area and people's life story.  

e. health and wellness: that stay healthy and good well for doing good work not lazy. 

3. List the characteristics of a volunteer and justify why they are important.

1.3.1 confidentiality/ethics: need keep secret from boss and need behave on my personal if you not can get fired. 
1.3.2 attendance/punctuality: going time on in time 
1.3.3 resource/time management: not waste time and check time how long for work
1.3.4 adherence to rules and regulations: need follow the boss's rules or if not follow the rules you can get fired. 
1.3.5 safety: that very important safety because people can get dead or injury for not pay attention 
1.3.6 enthusiasm: look volunteer for interesting active.  
1.3.7 sense of humour: make little joke on work 

5. What are the societal benefits of volunteering with the Food Bank?
people who not have money for food so we have food bank for we can help donation  the food and it make their feeling very happy.

6. What are your responsibilities in the volunteering assignment?
My responsibilities is collect their donations of food, money, and unused food tickets.

7. What are the responsibilities of the Food Bank to you in the volunteering assignment?
his responsibilities is they will tell me what i need to do and teach me something new for need to do.

8. What personal considerations do you need to take regarding safety and comfort during this volunteering assignment.
I need bring a something important like bug spray and bring rain clothing if weather mesed up. and i need bring my own pen for writing on paper and bring my own bag too.

I need with a tent captain and train it make me more comfort. 

Library experiences assignment

1. Tell me about your volunteer work at the school library. What did you do? 
I did work at school library and I did doing a book bring back to shelves and when new book arrive then stamp then bring to shelves.

2. How long did you work there for?  
In ASD I guess maybe 2 year or 1 year for work there after lunch and MCS I think I work for one week
3. What did you like and not like about the experience?
I am like doing work a Bring books to shelves and not want do again Stamp new a book because it hurt my hand palm
4. If you were able to volunteer at the EPL Mill Woods library, what would you like to do?
I want doing same in School because it easy work way in library and I know where a book bring to shelves in easy way.

Goals and opinions assignment

1. What are your life and career goals?
My career goal is I going to college for become a technology computer same like my dad work too and If not work out then I can become a first deaf president in Canada. 

2. What do you want to do in the first 5 years after you finish high school?
When I finish the a school then I can looking get a job and get new house for myself or roommate and saving money for food and pay bill and If I have a car then I need pay for gas too. Possible looking new first my girlfriend too or possible not. I can looking for college and if I will graduated in College the I can become a technology computer same like my dad work too.    

3. Is there anything you want to learn to do this summer?
I really want learn about focus on something like how looking for new job or something on assignment or project  and learn about my english get better than not good my grammer too and need understand what need do on assignment and project too.


4. How confident do you feel in your ability to get and hold a job? What do you think are your strengths and weaknesses?
My weaknesses is not good a my English because All hearing people not understand what I trying say to them or If I looking for a new job then A boss not hire me because I am deaf and not good english writing but it look unfair for me. My strengths I use a good technology for computer.


5. Give me your honest opinion of this summer program.

My honest opinion is I am happy about summer program because I learned from you about my english better and talk about my focus and I really hope I am good writing english like all hearing can understand what I writing about my Future job.
